The Cottage @ Dark Heart of the Grove LLC. -

We have a home-based kitchen ran under Virginia’s Cottage Food Law. (See the law explained in full PDF here.) Due to the law, while we are SERV Safe certified and incorporate stringent cleanliness in all of our cooking and packaging, none of our food items are available for online ordering.

ALL OF OUR FOOD ITEMS ARE "NOT FOR RESALE, AS THEY ARE PROCESSED AND PREPARED WITHOUT STATE INSPECTION" IN OUR HOME KITCHEN.

Our UNWASHED Fresh Eggs are sold under Virginia law code § 3.2-5305, and are also only available for in person purchase.

Store Returns -

We generally do not do returns. When ordering online, if any item you buy from our store arrives damaged, please reach out to us, we will definitely refund you. Other than that, please be sure to read our product descriptions, and/or ingredients before you purchase so you know what to expect. Our number 1 goal is to make sure you're happy with your purchase from Dark Heart of the Grove.
